TWO SAMPLES FROM THE SIGMA SD9 DIGITAL SLR

TAKEN WITH OLD TAMRON 85-210 ZOOM with Pentax-K adaptall mount (aperture lever removed) with lens used on Manual aperture setting = f16. Macro-mode (only at 85mm setting). A first attempt using this lens hand-held in macro mode. Nylon cord is 1.5mm diameter and at a guess, dragonfly was about 50mm long.

Note that images have been resampled in order to be able to display within space requirements

This dragonfly (I think?) settled on a washing line I was just replacing (one of those with fairly fine nylon - pull out and lock types) and obligingly stayed fairly still for a couple of shots. The first is a bit closer-in but have included the second because of blue sky background, although not quite as good. A little bit of breeze meant was unable to use smaller aperture that I would have preferred for more Depth of Field
